"FELDENKREIS_F2_002 extended", 2023

The sculpture “FELDENKREIS_F2_002 extended” by Austrian artist Carola Dertnig was presented in 2023 as part of the exhibition “Public Matters” at Belvedere 21 in Vienna.The work consists of painted steel tubes and three “horse heads” made of polymer concrete, referencing medieval millstone fragments. Inspired by her mother’s notes on studying and teaching Moshé Feldenkrais’ body technique in the 1950s, the sculpture explores themes of bodily experience and performance.
