Feldenkreis_FI_001_Lucia Westerguard

Austrian artist Carola Dertnig was awarded the VCT Sculpture Project Award in 2023. Her sculpture, “Feldenkreis_FI_001_Lucia Westerguard,” was exhibited in Vienna’s Stadtpark and honors the Austrian saxophonist and circus artist Lucia Westerguard. The work consists of curved steel tubes and explores the ephemeral nature of performative art. After the exhibition in Stadtpark, the sculpture was acquired by JP Immobilien and is now installed in front of the Hoxton Hotel in Vienna.
